Finishes
Gloss paper makes colours stand out and is a good choice for food packaging and product stickers. Matt gives a softer look and is easier to write on. For items likely to get wet or be used outdoors, vinyl is the better choice. For something understated on glass, ask about clear stickers.
QR code stickers
A square sticker is a natural fit for QR codes. Use a short link, make the code at least 25 mm wide, keep a clear white margin around it and test it from the printed proof. Use a dynamic QR code if the destination might change, so you do not have to reprint your stickers when your web page or menu changes. Cafes and salons often put a QR sticker on the counter or the window, linking to their reviews or menu.
Design tips
- Leave 2 to 3 mm from the cut line to any important text or logo.
- If your design has a coloured background, extend it 2 to 3 mm past the edge as bleed.
- Avoid a thin border that runs exactly along the edge, as small cutting movements make it look uneven.
- Very small corners can be rounded off, which helps stop corners from lifting.

Send the size, quantity and material, or simply tell us what you need the sticker to do. Artwork is set up free of charge when we print, so a logo and a line of wording are enough to begin with. If you need round stickers as well, we can usually set them up from the same artwork. Same-day printing is possible on many paper stickers when your file arrives early, so call us if your deadline is tight.
