Custom caps and hats

Caps and beanies are often a cheap way to add a uniform feel to a team, and they keep your name up at eye level. We supply embroidered and printed headwear for gardeners, delivery drivers, cafes, bars, sports clubs, festivals and hen or stag parties.

Styles of headwear

• Baseball caps are a classic choice, with a large, easy front panel for a logo.
• Snapbacks and trucker caps have a more casual look. Trucker caps have a mesh back, which keeps your head cool.
• Beanies are warm and comfortable, ideal for winter work and outdoor crews.
• Bucket hats suit summer events and festivals, and they are popular with brands and bands.
• Sun visors suit bar and event staff, and are also good for sport.
• Chef's and catering caps can be a good fit for kitchens, though you should check your hygiene rules.

Embroidery or print?

Embroidery is the most popular option for caps, because it looks crisp, handles sweat and washing and gives the cap a premium feel. Text must be large enough to stitch, generally 5 mm tall or more. Printing can capture fine detail and photographs, but works better on smooth flat panels.

Sizing and design on a small area

The usable area on the front of a cap is smaller than you might imagine, generally around 10 x 5 cm, and it curves. The centre seam on some caps can affect the design, and fine logos may need simplifying for embroidery. A strong, simple logo is usually the most effective. On a beanie, the design often sits on the turn-up, which limits the height to about 5 cm.

Group orders and personalisation

Adjustable caps with a strap or a snap are the easiest for groups, as one size will fit most adults. Beanies are also generally one size. For children, ask about kids' sizes. You can add initials or a name to each hat, which is especially popular for hen parties and team gifts.

Ordering

Tell us the style, colour and how many you need, and send your logo or wording. We will make a digital mock-up and confirm a price. Setting up artwork is free when we print the job, and embroidery can have a one-off digitising cost for your logo. For events, please allow a little extra time, particularly in summer. Matching T-shirts and hoodies can go on the same order.
