Branded jackets for teams who work outside
A jacket with your logo keeps your team warm and identifies them when they are on a job. We add logos to jackets for builders, gardeners, delivery drivers, security staff, coaches and clubs, either with embroidery or with a print or transfer on the back.
Types of jacket
- Softshell is smart, shower-resistant and comfortable. It is often chosen for managers, reps and coaches.
- Waterproof shell or parka is for people who are outdoors all day. Taped seams keep the rain out.
- Fleece is warm and easy to embroider, but it is not waterproof.
- Padded or quilted gives extra warmth for winter work.
- High-visibility is required on many sites. Check that your site's requirements are met, including the correct standard.
- Varsity and bomber styles are popular with clubs, teams and student groups.
Embroidery or print?
Embroidery on the chest is the most common choice for jackets, as it is durable and looks premium. Waterproof fabrics need extra care, because needle holes can compromise the waterproofing around the logo. For that reason, a heat transfer is often used instead on fully waterproof garments, particularly on the back. Tell us what kind of jacket you have and we will suggest what will work. Some fabrics, including those with special coatings, do not accept heat well, so we may need to test before the full run.
Where to place your logo
The left chest is the standard location. Large logos and contact details go across the back, where they are easy to spot from a distance. Sleeves can show a small logo or a web address. Check that any logos do not cover zips, pockets or reflective strips, especially on hi-vis clothing, where these features must stay visible.
Sizing for layers
People wear jackets over other clothing, so check the size against a fleece or uniform rather than a T-shirt. It is a good idea to ask each person to try one on, particularly for long-sleeve outerwear. Ask us for the size chart for the brand.
Ordering
Send your logo, tell us the type of jacket and how many of each size you need. We can set up your artwork for free when we print the job, and embroidery may have a one-off digitising cost that we will show in your quote. Jackets may need to be ordered in, so allow a little extra lead time before a winter rush. Add a bodywarmer or a polo shirt to make a set.
Questions we hear about jackets
Can you embroider a waterproof jacket?
It is possible, but stitching makes small holes that can affect waterproofing. A heat transfer is often the better option on fully waterproof garments.
Can you print on a jacket I already own?
Sometimes, depending on the fabric and coating. Bring it in, and we can check, though we will usually supply the garment.
Can you print on hi-vis jackets?
Yes, but you must keep the reflective tape clear, and the jacket must meet the standard your site requires.
What is the minimum order?
One-offs are possible, but a single embroidered item can carry a set-up cost, so ask us for a quote.
