Workwear that shows who you are

A simple uniform makes a small business look established, and it helps customers identify your team straight away. We put logos on clothes for builders, plumbers, cleaning companies, care providers, restaurants, shops and offices. You can order for a team of one or a team of fifty.

Building a practical uniform

Industry Common choices
Trades and construction Polos, hoodies, jackets, trousers and hi-vis
Cafes and restaurants Aprons, T-shirts and caps
Cleaning and care Tunics, polo shirts and fleeces
Shops and offices Polos, shirts and bodywarmers
Warehouses and delivery T-shirts, hoodies and jackets

Start with something simple, like two polos and a fleece per person. You can add to it once you know what people actually wear.

Printing or embroidery for work?

Embroidery is the usual choice for workwear because it copes well with frequent washing and looks professional. Printing is a better choice for back logos and phone numbers, or on lightweight fabrics. Embroidering small logos on chest, sleeve or cap can make your budget go further, and a printed back adds visibility.

Safety clothing

Where personal protective equipment is required, the garment has to meet the relevant standard. Printing or embroidery must not cover reflective tape, and it can sometimes affect the rating of specialist protective clothing, such as flame-resistant workwear. Check with the manufacturer or your safety adviser first. Tell us about any requirements when you ask for a quote.

Cost-effective reorders

A uniform is an ongoing need, not a one-time order. Once your logo is set up, we keep it on file so that reordering a new starter's kit is simple. Note down the brand, colour and product code of what you have ordered so that later orders match. Popular colours in major ranges are the easiest to get again, whereas seasonal colours can disappear.

A note on tax

HMRC has rules on claiming costs for clothing with a logo, and for laundering it. Your accountant can advise you on what applies to your business. We can supply an itemised invoice for your records.

Ordering

Send us your logo, a list of who needs what, and sizes for each. If your team is spread out, a shared sheet is the easiest way to collect the details. We set up artwork free of charge when we print the job, and embroidered logos can have a one-off digitising cost that we show on the quote. We can deliver to your site anywhere in the UK for a quoted charge, or you can collect from Gatton Road.

Questions we hear about workwear & uniforms

What is the minimum order for workwear?

One garment is fine. A single embroidered item may include a set-up cost, and larger orders lower the cost per item.

Can you match our existing uniform?

Often, if you can tell us the brand and the product code, or bring in a sample for us to compare.

Can you embroider aprons and tunics?

Yes. Aprons and tunics are common for cafes, cleaning and care businesses.

Can you keep my logo for reorders?

Yes. We keep your artwork and embroidery file so future orders match.
