Your local photocopy shop

If you have searched for a "photocopy shop near me" or "photocopying near me" in or around Tooting, we are on Gatton Road, a few minutes on foot from Tooting Broadway. There is no minimum and no need for an appointment. One copy of a passport page or a hundred copies of a school newsletter are both normal jobs. Copying starts from 20p per page, and we will confirm the price before we start.

What we can copy

  • Passports, ID and visa documents for applications and landlords
  • Forms, contracts and certificates
  • Books and study materials, subject to copyright rules
  • Large plans and drawings
  • Photographs
  • Bound documents, such as reports and booklets

Sizes from A5 to A3 are straightforward, and we can enlarge or reduce to fit, for example A4 to A3. For larger originals, tell us the size. Large plans may need different equipment, so see our page on plans and CAD drawings.

Black and white or colour?

Black and white is cheaper and is usually fine for forms and text. Colour copies look closer to the original, so they are the better choice for photographs, certificates and any documents with coloured stamps. Some organisations ask for colour copies of passports or ID, so check their instructions before you come in.

Scanning services

We can turn your paper documents into digital files that you can email, save or store:

  • Scan to PDF, the most useful format for documents and applications
  • Scan to JPG, the better choice for photographs
  • Save to your USB stick or send by email
  • Multi-page scanning, so that a whole document goes into one PDF

We can scan old family photographs too. For printing a new copy of your photo, see photo prints. Scanning at a higher resolution preserves more detail. A resolution of 300 dpi is fine for most documents, and photographs may be better at 600 dpi if you want to enlarge them later. Tell us how the scan will be used, and we will set it up correctly.

Copying for official purposes

Many landlords, employers and government departments ask for clear copies of original documents. A few points to keep in mind:

  • Bring the original, so that we can make a copy directly from it.
  • Check whether the copy needs to be in colour and whether it needs to show both sides.
  • We can make a copy, but we cannot certify a document. Certification usually needs a solicitor, a notary or another qualified person.
  • Some documents, such as banknotes, cannot legally be copied. We may refuse to copy anything that looks like it could be misused.

Bulk copying

For large numbers of newsletters, forms or course packs, it may be best to phone or email the original ahead of time. We can collate, staple or hole-punch them, and add comb binding if needed. We can usually offer a lower per-page price on larger jobs. Please let us know how many you need and your deadline.

Copyright

Copying large parts of a book or a piece of sheet music can break copyright rules, unless you own the rights, you have permission, or a licence or exception applies. If you are not sure, your school or university may be able to advise you.

Quick and private

Small jobs are generally done while you wait. Your documents will not be kept unless we are working on a longer job, and we will hand back everything you bring us. Send scanned files only to your own email address, and check it before you leave. For files already on your phone or computer, see document printing.
