Plan printing near you

Architects, builders, surveyors, kitchen fitters and homeowners with planning applications all come to us for large-format drawings. Lines and small text need to stay crisp and scales need to stay accurate. Send a PDF, and we can print a single plan or a full set, ready for a site meeting or a submission.

Plan printing prices

Size 1 plan 5 plans, each 10 plans, each
A2 £6 £5 £4
A1 £8 £7 £6
A0 £15 £10 £9

These rates are for line drawings. Plans with big areas of solid colour or full-page photographs use more ink, so let us know, and we will confirm the price.

Printing to scale

If a drawing is to be measured from, it must be printed at exactly the right size. To help with this:

  • Export your PDF at the exact sheet size, for example A1 at 594 x 841 mm, rather than "fit to page".
  • Include a scale bar. It remains accurate even if a sheet is later copied at a different size.
  • State the scale and the sheet size on the title block, for example "1:100 at A1".
  • Tell us that the plan needs to print at 100%, and we will check it against the scale bar.

From AutoCAD, Revit and other software

Plot to PDF rather than sending a native DWG or RVT file. PDFs lock line weights, layers and fonts, so what you see is what will print. Check that any white or light-coloured lines still show against the page, and that thin lines haven't been set so fine that they disappear when printed.

Planning applications and building sites

Your local planning authority may accept plans online, but printed sets are still useful for neighbour discussions, contractors and site work. Our short-run rates make a small set of drawings affordable, and we can fold them to A4 if they need to go in a file. For drawings that will be used outdoors on site, non-tear material can save a great deal of reprinting in the rain.

Copying paper plans and scanning

If all you have is an old paper plan, we can help make a copy. See our photocopying and scanning page, and bring the original with you.

Fast turnaround

Drawings are usually a quick job. A ready PDF sent early can often be printed the same day, which is useful when a client or a builder needs the latest revision by tomorrow morning. Phone 020 8133 4499 to check, especially if you need several sets.

Questions we hear about plans & cad drawings

Can you print plans to scale?

Yes, when the PDF is set up at the correct sheet size. Tell us the plan needs to print at 100% and include a scale bar so that it can be checked.

What file format do you need for CAD drawings?

A PDF plotted from your software is best, as it keeps line weights and fonts fixed. Native CAD files often do not open correctly elsewhere.

How much does A1 plan printing cost?

A single A1 plan costs £8, falling to £6 each for ten. Plans with heavy colour may cost more, so ask for a quote.

Can you fold plans to A4?

Yes. Mention it when you order, as it is common for planning and site files.
