A branded table in seconds
A printed tablecloth turns any folding table into a proper display. It hides storage boxes underneath and creates a smart, professional look. Exhibitors, charities, universities, market traders and hotels use them for fairs, conferences and open days.
Styles
| Style | Look | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Draped throw | Soft folds that fall on all sides | Exhibitions and formal events |
| Fitted or stretch | Tight and neat, with no wrinkles | Modern brands and frequent events |
| Runner | Strip across the centre of a table | Lower budgets, and with your own cloth |
| Open back | Leaves the back open for staff and storage | Trade fairs |
Getting the right size
Measure the length, width and height of the table. A standard 6ft trestle table is about 183 x 76 cm and 74 cm high. For a draped cloth to reach the floor, you need to add the table's height to each side. Measure for your own table, since sizes vary, and tell us if you plan on using different tables. If a cloth is too large, it may cause someone to trip, and if it is too short, it can look untidy.
Print and fabric
Dye-sublimated polyester is most common. It gives strong, full-colour results across the fabric, and it can be washed and folded for transport. Most fabrics can also be flame-retardant, and some venues ask for a certificate of this, so check before you order. Full-print cloths use your design across the whole surface. Single-panel prints place a logo on the front panel only and are more cost-effective.
Design tips
Place your logo high on the front panel, where it will not be hidden by chairs or people's legs. Don't put key details on the top surface if you plan to cover it with leaflets or products. For repeated use, avoid dates so that you can reuse the cloth. If you want to change messages by event, add a roller banner behind the table instead.
Care and transport
Most polyester cloths can be machine washed on a cool cycle and hung to dry. They can be folded into a bag for transport, and a low iron on the reverse usually takes out creases. Always check the care label, and make sure the print side is protected.
Tablecloths for restaurants
For a restaurant or a hotel, wipe-clean printed vinyl can be more practical than fabric, as can paper covers for one-time use. Paper is a good match for children's parties and casual dining, and is covered with our placemats. Tell us how you intend to use the cloth, and we will suggest something suitable.
Ordering
Send your logo, table size and preferred style. We set up artwork free of charge when we print the job and will show you a proof. Printed cloths are normally made to order, so please allow a week or two before your event. If you need a fully branded counter, you may prefer a printed folding table.
Questions we hear about tablecloths
What size tablecloth do I need for a 6ft table?
A 6ft table is about 183 x 76 cm and 74 cm high. For a cloth reaching the floor, add the height to each side you want covered.
Are printed tablecloths washable?
Most polyester cloths can be washed cool and hung to dry. Always check the care label.
Are they flame retardant?
Many are. Tell us if your venue needs a certificate, and we will confirm before you order.
Can you print just the front panel?
Yes. A single-panel print is often the most cost-effective choice for a logo.
