Heart-shaped stickers
A heart sticker is a simple way of adding some warmth to something plain. Couples use them to seal invitations and to brand their favours. Bakeries and florists put them on boxes in the run-up to Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. Charities use them for fundraising and thank-you letters. Parents add them to party bags and thank-you notes.
Good uses
- Wedding invitation seals with initials, or a save-the-date message
- Favour bags and boxes, with the names and date
- Bakery and florist boxes, as a seal with your logo
- Valentine's and Mother's Day offers, for shop promotions
- Fundraising and awareness days, such as heart charity events
- Children's reward stickers, for nurseries and clubs
Sizes and materials
Common sizes are between 25 and 50 mm wide. A smaller heart is best for envelope seals and tags, while larger hearts can hold a name and a date. A matt or uncoated paper looks right for wedding stationery and accepts handwriting. Gloss gives more impact on packaging. Metallic and clear options can look beautiful, but they do not suit every design, so ask us what would work best with yours.
Designing for a heart shape
A heart has a narrow bottom point and a dip at the top, which leaves less usable space than you might expect. Centre your words in the widest part and keep them short: initials, a date, or a very simple phrase. Script fonts look beautiful but become hard to read at small sizes, so keep them above about 8pt, and use a strong contrast between the text and the background.
Matching your wedding stationery
If you are ordering invitations, place cards or a welcome sign, we can match the fonts and colours across all of them. That makes the day feel coordinated without any extra design cost, since artwork is set up free of charge when we print.
Ordering
Tell us the size, quantity and wording, and send us your logo or a picture of the rest of your stationery, if you have one. We will show you a proof before printing. For Valentine's Day and the spring wedding season, allow a little extra time, as these are our busy periods. Other sticker shapes, such as round stickers, may suit designs with more words.
Questions we hear about heart stickers
What size should heart stickers be for wedding invitations?
Around 25 to 40 mm works well for sealing envelopes. Larger sizes are better if you want names and a date to fit.
Can you match my wedding colours?
We can get close. Bring or send your stationery so we can compare them. Colours on screen can differ from print.
Can I write on the stickers?
Yes, on matt or uncoated paper. Gloss finishes can smudge, so mention it if you plan to handwrite.
Can you print a small batch for a party?
Yes. Short runs are fine, and a sheet or two is often all that a party needs.
