Kit for local teams and clubs
We print kit for Sunday league sides, five-a-side groups, running clubs, cycling groups, dance schools, martial arts clubs and school teams. You might need a full set of shirts with numbers, or just one replacement for a new player partway through the season. We can do either.
What we can add
- Numbers on the back and on shorts
- Player names above the number
- Club badges on the chest
- Sponsor logos on the front or the sleeve
- Initials or squad numbers on training tops
If you already have kit, bring a shirt in, and we can check whether we can print on the fabric and match the existing fonts. We can often print new numbers or sponsors on kit that you have already purchased.
Sports fabrics need the right method
Most sports shirts are polyester, which can be sensitive to heat. Using the wrong settings can leave a mark on the shirt, and some dyes can bleed into pale inks. That is why flexible transfer vinyl and low-temperature methods are usually used for names and numbers on sportswear. Full sublimation is a different process, in which the design is dyed into the fabric itself before the shirt is made up, and it can be a good choice for fully custom kit in larger orders. Tell us what you have in mind, and we can tell you what the options are.
Sizing and numbering a squad
Use a shared sheet with the name, number and size of each player, and check it carefully before you send it. A kit manager should sign off the list. It is a good idea to order a couple of spare shirts in common sizes, plus spare numbers for later players. For younger players, allow for growing room, as many children go up a size within a season.
League rules
Competitions can have specific rules on numbers, colours, and the size and position of sponsors. Check with your league or association before you confirm your design, especially if sponsor logos are involved. Junior sides can also have particular rules about certain types of sponsor.
Sponsors
Local sponsors often pay for kit in return for a logo on the shirt. Ask for a vector version of their logo, as a logo copied from a website will rarely print cleanly. Also, make sure you have permission to use it. If you need a banner for the sideline or a run of match posters, we can use the same artwork.
Ordering
Send your design, your list and your date, ideally at least a couple of weeks before the season or tournament starts. Our free artwork set-up covers simple badges and layouts when we print the job. Late player? A single name and number can often be added quickly.
Questions we hear about team & club shirts
Can you add names and numbers to our existing kit?
Often, yes. Bring a shirt in so that we can check the fabric and confirm the method, because sportswear can be heat sensitive.
Can you print sponsor logos?
Yes. Ask your sponsor for a vector logo, and check any rules from your league on size and position.
Can I add just one shirt for a new player?
Yes. One-offs are welcome, and we can try to match the existing style.
Do you do kids' sizes?
Yes. Junior sizes are available in most sports ranges, and we can supply a size chart.
