Certificate printing near you

Certificates usually come with a list of names, and that is where the time goes. Schools, sports clubs, driving instructors, training providers and dance schools come to us when they want something better than the office printer can produce, and when they do not want to fill in 60 names by hand. We print on heavier paper, in the quantity you need, from one upwards.

Printing a different name on each one

Send us a spreadsheet with one person per row, and we can merge the details into your design. This can include the name, course, date, grade and a certificate number. Check the spelling in your spreadsheet carefully before you send it, since we will print exactly what it says. We will show you a proof of a few examples, including the longest name on the list, so you can see that everything fits.

Paper and finish

An uncoated paper of around 160 to 250gsm feels right for a certificate and takes a signature in fountain pen or gel ink without smudging. A gloss surface looks shiny and may smudge when signed, so we do not usually recommend it. Cream or off-white paper can add a traditional feel, and a coloured border or logo can be printed as part of the design.

Sizes

A4 is the standard and fits most ready-made frames and presentation folders. A5 suits smaller awards, such as school attendance or swimming badges, and costs less when you need many. If you plan to post them, a C4 envelope keeps A4 certificates flat.

Details to include

  • The name of the person, in a large, clear style
  • What was achieved, and at what level
  • The date, and the name of the organisation
  • A signature line, and the signer's name and role
  • A certificate number if you need to verify it later

If a training certificate is required for compliance, check what the awarding body or regulator requires to be shown. We print what you approve, but the content must be correct on your side.

Originals and replacements

We print certificates from artwork that you own or are entitled to use. We cannot reproduce official documents such as exam or registrar certificates. If yours has been lost, contact the issuing body directly.

Design help and timing

Send us your logo and the wording, and we can design a simple certificate free of charge when we print the job. Small batches from a ready file can often be printed the same day, which is handy for an awards evening that has crept up on you. Add booklets for an awards programme, or printed posters for the event itself.

Questions we hear about certificates

Can you personalise each certificate?

Yes. Send names in a spreadsheet, check the spellings, and we will merge them into the layout.

What paper should I use for certificates?

An uncoated paper of around 160 to 250gsm feels substantial and accepts a signature without smudging.

Can I order just one certificate?

Yes. One-offs are fine, and many small awards are printed in very small batches.

Can you reprint a lost exam or registrar certificate?

No. Official documents must be replaced by the organisation that issued them. We can print certificates you are entitled to issue yourself.
