Leaflet and flyer printing near you
A short run lets you find out whether an offer works before you pay for thousands. That is the main advantage of using a local print shop for leaflets. Fifty or a hundred printed on Gatton Road can test a promotion on a few streets around Tooting Market or Amen Corner. If the response is good, reprint. If it is not, change the wording and try again next week.
"Flyer" and "leaflet" are generally used to mean the same thing. Some people use "flyer" for a single sheet handed out for an event and "leaflet" for something more informative or folded, but when you order, the sizes and prices are the same.
Flyer prices by size and quantity
| Quantity | A6 | A5 | A4 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | £16 | £23 | £30 |
| 100 | £22 | £30 | £40 |
| 250 | £32 | £45 | £60 |
These are single-sided prices. Ask us for the double-sided figure, which is often worthwhile for a door drop because the back gives you room for a map, terms and a second offer. Need more than 250? Tell us how many and we will quote.
Which size should you pick?
- A6 (105 x 148 mm) is the size of a postcard. It suits one clear offer, an event date or a discount code, and is cheap enough to hand out freely.
- A5 (148 x 210 mm) is the safe default. It holds a headline, a few points and contact details without looking crowded.
- A4 (210 x 297 mm) works for full price lists, timetables and takeaway menus, especially when folded.
Our paper size guide has all the measurements. Folding is a good way of turning a sheet into a leaflet: A4 folded in half gives you four A5 panels, and A4 folded in three fits a standard DL envelope or leaflet rack.
Paper that suits the job
Thin paper is fine for a large door drop, but it can feel throwaway in the hand. For something a customer will keep, like a takeaway menu, choose a heavier silk or gloss paper. Uncoated paper is the one to pick if people need to write on it, as with booking forms or vouchers. Our guide to paper weights describes how each weight feels, and we are happy to show you samples.
Writing a leaflet people act on
The design matters less than most people think. These points matter more:
- Lead with the offer or the benefit, not your company name. People need a reason to read on.
- Say one thing. A leaflet with six messages rarely gets any of them across.
- Make the next step obvious. A phone number, an address or a QR code should be easy to spot.
- Add a deadline. "Until 31 March" tends to prompt more action than an open offer.
- Include a way of measuring it. A code or a line like "bring this leaflet" tells you whether the print paid for itself.
Before a door drop, check whether the distribution area has "no leaflets" signs and respect them. If you plan to hand out free printed matter on the street, check first with the local council, since some areas restrict distribution or require consent.
Same-day leaflets and free design
If your artwork is ready and you contact us early, flyers can often be printed the same day. Folding and larger quantities can take longer, and we will always tell you what is realistic before you commit. If you need help with the layout, send us your wording, your logo and any photos. Design set-up is free when we print the job, and we will show you a proof to approve first.
Collect from the shop, or ask for delivery anywhere in the UK at a quoted charge. Many customers also want a matching poster for the shop window or a leaflet stand for the counter, and we can use the same artwork for those.
Questions we hear about flyers & leaflets
What is the difference between a flyer and a leaflet?
In everyday use there is very little. Flyer often means a single sheet for an event or offer, while leaflet tends to mean something more informative or folded. Sizes and prices are the same.
How much does leaflet printing cost?
Single-sided prices start at £16 for 50 A6, £23 for 50 A5 and £30 for 50 A4. The price table on this page shows the rates for 100 and 250.
How many flyers do I need for a door drop?
Count the letterboxes you can realistically reach and add a few spare. A first test of 100 to 250 tells you more than a large order that sits in a box.
Do you print double-sided flyers?
Yes. The table shows single-sided prices, so ask us for the double-sided figure for your size and quantity.
Can you fold my leaflets?
Yes. A4 folded in half or into three panels is common. Folding adds a little time, so mention it when you tell us your deadline.
Can you print flyers the same day?
Often, if the file is ready and reaches us early. Call 020 8133 4499 with your quantity and deadline and we will confirm before you travel.
